Unironically should gamify it like rdrama.net. It's the most successful Reddit offshoot. It's three years in development, but the awards and dramacoin are used by the userbase to control the environment. Jannies have no real power, so they don't have people with their own narratives pushing things like "booohooo this person said something I don't like so I will ban them." Instead, users can 1-day ban but then there is a 1-day unban. There are positive and negative awards. The only rule is no doxxing and then the jannies come in, but they have tons of awards users can use to control the site. It's genius, and there is a subscription you can pay to buy dramacoin and marseybux (their currency) to buy awards.
Freelancers with sticks up their arses will hate it, but who cares. Occasionally, the owner creates a thread asking who wants to be a janny and then temp bans whoever responds to get rid of the power hungry people. People pay a sub for currency to buy awards. The place is controlled by the userbase. Too much wingcuckery? You get pushed to a subforum where you can cry in the void.
It's great. You can fork their code too if anyone is interested.
