I watch more series on streaming platforms these days than films, mainly because mainstream Hollyweird is broken and the quality seems better.
But here are some great films that I've recently watched:
JoJo Rabbit: A young German boy in the Hitler Youth, whose hero and imaginary friend is the country's dictator, is shocked to discover that his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their home.
The 12th Man: VERY Exciting!!! You're welcome.
Lion: (Don't confuse this with the Kidman film, "Lionness"): Beautiful true story about a five-year-old Indian boy who is adopted by an Australian couple after getting lost hundreds of kilometers from home. 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.
Escape at Dannemora: This is a series, but it's great and directed by Ben Stiller. True story about a prison employee who is manipulated by two inmates and helps them escape. Netflix.
The Night Manager: On Prime - don't confuse this with the remake that's currently on Netflix. This is the superior original series made in 2016.
While doing repetitive work, I'd also recommend watching the highly addictive show "The Traitors."
The Traitors U.S. (Peacock)
The Traitors U.K. (Peacock)
The Traitors Canada (Daily Motion)
There's also The Traitors Australia and other counties in this franchaise. When you start watching, you'll understand what all the fuss is about!
