Robin I agree. If your dad is anything like my mom, he probably doesn't even know what a URL is. I laughed so hard once when my mom explained to me that the reason I had to help her when she wanted to search for things online was that she didn't have "the internet". She only had "a little bit of Google." When she would tell me something completely crazy, and I asked where she'd heard or read that, she said, "On Google." She doesn't even understand what a website is. And when that's your level of internet literacy, no wonder you fall for scams.
For people who are older or simply don't understand these things, it's a shame that everything has to be done online nowadays. The reason my mom paid some random people to log into her online banking to help her pay bills and transfer money was that she used to do that at her local bank, but eventually, they told her that she couldn't come there to do it anymore so they said she had to figure out how to do it online.
