I used to rely on Copilot mainly for mundane tasks, never trusting it for anything beyond that. However, over the past two weeks, I started using it more extensively, especially with languages and frameworks I'm less familiar with, and I was pleasantly surprised by how effective it can be. With just a few prompts, I’ve been able to create functional code. While it doesn’t always get everything right, the fixes are usually straightforward.
This experience has made me a firm believer that today, you can build almost anything in any language with the right tools. Learning the basics of a language paired with a tool like Copilot gives you a great assistant to guide you the rest of the way. That said, I’m not suggesting that basics and AI alone are enough to become a proficient coder - it’s a tool to help enhance your skills, not replace them.
What are your thoughts on Copilot? Have you tried it, or are you using another tool?
