After gallivanting all over the countryside, when I decided to come back to my first love, English literature, particularly fiction, I spent a few months sprucing up my grammar and punctuation.
Along the way, I also learned of the popular styles, and settled for The Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS).
After studying the rules of CMOS, I subscribed to CMOS online, where not only do I access to the latest version of CMOS, but also I have access to the forums, where I have gone to resolve gray areas.
The main resource for grammar and unction I used is this: https://www.guidetogrammar.org/grammar/.
Some of the other resources I used for specific details are these:

2) https://libguides.ucalgary.ca/c.php?g=676911&p=4779245

Though the GuideToGrammar (Earlier known as Commnet, uses US English, it has valuable information for English in general.
One simply needs to be mindful of some differences in terminology and punctuation in US and UK English.
For example, what UK English calls main clauses and subordinate clauses, US English calls independent clauses and dependent clauses.
On the punctuation side, while the period (full stop) and comma always go inside a quotation mark in US English, may go inside or outside the period (full stop) and comma in UK English.
