I'll post here occasionally with recent changes to the community. So, let's go!
Fixes
Image uploading
There were some issues firstly uploading and after, embedding uploaded images. This is fixed now.
To add an image to your post, select the "My media" button from the editor, select "Upload", choose the file(s), select them in the popup and click "Select file(s)"
Emoji picker
Emojis were working, but not as you expect them. You can see first 6 emojis, but the rest only works once type a colon out. This is fixed now, and all emojis are showing in a popup, very similarly (if not the same) as in the Upwork Community.
Addons
Groups
Groups are dedicated spaces for members to connect, share, and collaborate around specific interests or topics. Check them out here. For now, option to create groups is only allowed to admins so in order to request a new group, check Feedback below.
Events Calendar
Located on the left side, it allows everyone to schedule an event. Vlad will be adding his AMA's and podcasts right there. You are all invited to try it out!
Country flags
On your profile page (Controls -> Edit), you can add your country code and have the flag show on posts and profile.
Feedback
In the bottom right corner, on every page, a button will float allowing you to leave feedback. So far, 3 options are available:
- General - use this to drop us a message, if you find a bug, etc.
- Group creation request - use this to request a new group
- Enhancement requests - use this to request something that you want to see here on the Freelancer.Forum
Top posts
Located only on home page, you can see top 3 posts across the forum.
Private messages
You can now send private messages to other users. Click on the "Discussions" icon in the header (next to the search bar) and enjoy private discussions!
Others
Various site and SEO improvements, enhanced some security features.
