I am not clear when this started, but I noticed that revenue from contracts was showing in my General profile but not my specialized profile. For me, like many, general and specialized are the same. I offer one service type. Recently I was interviewing with a client, and I proposed a contract to him to save some time. In that process, there was nothing for me to suggest the job category. He accepted the contract, and when I was looking at the details, I noticed it was being assigned to a job category that had nothing to do with me. I reached out to support who directed me to contact the client and have them reach out to support to change the classification. I did only for support to tell him that it cannot be changed and a new contract had to be raised. I opted to leave it as I could sense the client was getting annoyed and I didn't wish to aggravate a new client with UW nonsense.
I checked older contracts but cannot see how they are classified. It seems to only show during the contract phase. However, I have to assume this is the reason my profile, other than the general one, is no longer showing jobs I get. Does anyone know if the process changed for clients such that it would be easy to get this wrong or not see some default? I assume this started sometime in the past year as otherwise this was never an issue.
This incorrect assignments I am sure have been/will impact me in search as work I am doing is assigned to a very incorrect category. Frustrating as well as UW's inability to make a simple update.
Anyone else with this?
