Hi,
I received a mail from the forum that informs me about the community talk. Usually I disable notifications since I don't like getting notification mails. I checked my notification settings in the user page and I couldn't see any permissions that I granted to send me notification mails.

Would you kindly unsubscribe me? I'd really prefer to have an option for things like this. I think "asking" before contacting is a good and civil practice in general.

    Hi Vladimir,

Can you guys add a third-party time converter plugin to the FF? Whatever works. It would be better to have it nearby rather than searching and converting it elsewhere. I can't make this one, but I logged into the previous event afterward, time converting mistake I made, and said hello when it was empty..πŸ€ͺ

human Apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for the feedback. I'm checking with Djole, our tech wiz, if we can enable an option. We'll also follow up to confirm you're unsubscribed from future email notifications.

Daniel I understand the time zone confusion as I'm regularly having to navigate different time zones and convert meeting times. We also had this problem in the former Community.

We looked into improving the time zone feature at the get go but didn't find any existing Flarum options that would work with event setting. I'll share your feedback with Djole and we'll take another look as this is a crucial piece to the whole event experience.

I personally prefer World Time Buddy fyi.

Vladimir Thank you for the tip! Enjoy the event.

Aargh I don't seem to be able to join via the link... it insisted I get the app... so I did... and the link still doesn't go to the livestream. I'm sure it's me, but I don't know why...

edit: working now, I guess I was just early

Kelly_E Maybe try a different browser?

Will you start live streaming these events on YouTube, once your channel is qualified to do lives? Also, why aren’t they just uploaded to YouTube as they are? Do they really need to be edited first?

Mark It didn't like my computer at all so I had tried my phone... which for some reason it also didn't like for several minutes. I thought maybe I was early, but I was about 5–10 minutes into the livestream by the time I got it working. No idea what the problem was.

Eve Second vote... I'd also prefer YouTube to this app... but maybe YT has its own problems?

I've never had any issues live streaming to YouTube. But you need either a certain number of followers on the channel or 1000 watch hours (can't remember which one) before you can do live streams. Then everyone can just follow along in the chat, and you can see the chat even if you don't watch it live.

Eve I'm happy if it's edited. I talk too much! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜…

Debs1723 Random ramblings always make a conversation more interesting. The more you talk, the better. :)
